I have to agree with some of the others. Whilst the game itself has good graphics, a nice theme and an excellent amount of effort put into it, it's not the most fun thing in the world...
The gameplay is incredably basic and for that reason quickly becomes tedious and unchallenging. I liked the smooth movement of the fox and falling from great heights, but this was perhaps the highlight when compared to the game itself. It's not a bad game, in fact for a child's game it's very well made. However, it is certainly not "outstanding" and I feel there are far better games on this site. You should be very proud of it though and I admit I'm definitely being biased because of its massive score. Well done though.

I always liked adventures games like this as a kid, I loved Kings Quest and Space Quest. I think it's great that you're creating games of this genre, my main problem though is that I don't really like the general theme of your games.
I just didn't really warm to the characters or story lines at all. It was great that I was breaking into a base in this, but why would I want to be a green skull looking alien thing? I didn't like that aspect at all.
Again in Reemus, the characters are more likeable but they could be a lot better. Liam is a good character (a bit like Cedric the owl from KQ), but Reemus is just ugly and annoying if I can put it like that lol.
The other aspect which fails are the stories. Killing the world of bugs doesn't make you feel very heroic, helping a hacking worm doesn't feel great either lol.

I give you these points not to bash your work, but to show you which areas I think you need to work on in order to really making something people could love and become obsessed with. You are already full of talent, improve your characters and improve your story and you'll be producing brilliant games. :)

If it was a remake then fair enough you deserve a lot of credit. But it's just a port... merely compiled. I congratulate you on that, but you can only have this score due to the ignorance of people thinking this took you a huge amount of effort.

Very weak of you NG.

This game wins simply because it's fun and addictive.

The execution of the game is absolutely brilliant, the visuals fit perfectly and the voice acting is excellent.
It does have flaws though, I know this review will be blammed in the hype but since it is your first game I'm sure you're welcoming suggestions.
The interactively is actually incredably limited, most of the game was composed of making selections through menu's. It suffers from a similar lack of gameplay as Pandemic did.
Whilst there is an RTS view, it's not really very relevant, you have little control over doing anything there. I know my friend is making tutorials on advanced games, I think he plans on submitting an RTS to newgrounds sometime soon.
The coding here is clearly basic, but then it is one of your first few attempts at games. Definately a good effort for a beginner.

Well executed, but I don't see how anyone can give a high score to something which is more-or-less just a replica of worms. This was only backed up by the fact I got bored very quickly, since I've played worms hundreds of times.

It's beyond me as to how you bothered to make this, you must have absolutely no creativity or passion or anything. I'm not obsessed with originality, but this is a joke. Make something new ffs.

Afro-Ninja responds:

It's a free and easily accessible version of worms, is that really so odd?

Good.

Interesting concept and reasonably original, this has the potential to be an absolutely brilliant game. However, as the reviewer 'MegaUltraTron' pointed out down below, there are some major flaws that need adressing:

- Deaths don't seem to have any purpose to the game, you don't get more evolutionary points for killing people. You can infect the world with a harmless disease and countries will act the same way as if it was a fatal disease. That does make sense because there's a chance the virus might mutate, but there doesn't seem to be any point of causing deaths in the game at the moment.

- The visibility thing definately needs looking at, a parasite with practically no visiblity and only 100 infections or so can still result in closed borders if you leave it long enough. This ruined the game to an extent because it didn't allow for a "stealth" in vasion.

- Evolutionary points, I think you can come up with a better idea than to use these. For a start they seem to be pretty random when increasing, as I said earlier they don't increase for deaths. They are entirely responsible for making the game boring, it's no fun to sit there waiting for more points when there's nothing else I can do. For the 3rd game I think you should definately consider replacing this whole system.

- There are numourous more features you could potentially add to the game which it's really lacking in. At the moment the player watches the main screen and occasionally clicks a few buttons, involving a lot of waiting around. I don't need to give you ideas to expand, I'm sure you can come up with some.

That aside, excellent game, just work on the AI, then work on expanding, and you'll have a great 3rd title (if you make it).

Fantastic

A great concept which has actually been brilliant executed and worked very well, you should be proud of this.

Jokes.

Good visuals yes, but at the end of the day it's just another dress up game, which was an awful concept in the first place. There is absolutely no way this deserves a score of 4.0+, there are simply far more detailed, far less empty, far more unique submissions out there.

I'm amazed this dress up genre is still getting high votes, I got bored of it years ago.

matt-likes-swords responds:

I'm amazed you're still playing dress up games then..

Ok.

If you're worried about the HP not hitting exactly zero (which I think you're right, it is the problem). Just do:

if (_root.HP <= 0)

That will then trigger if HP becomes zero or anything less (a negative value). Hope this helps.
