You might be wondering why your score isn't all that high for something as well made as this. The visuals are absolutely brilliant and work with the theme perfectly, it's also great to see an adventure game.

However, there are a couple of problems which are probably causing a lot of people to not vote 5. One of them being the sound, it's really lacking music which destroys a lot of the atmosphere. Another is the general theme itself, the whole old fashioned detective in a city concept just feels extremely dated and un-interesting. The intro didn't really grab me at all, I didn't really care who I was or what I was doing.

I think fantasy works a lot better for adventure games, and make the goal of the game about revenge rather than "doing a job". Still, you have excellent potential and you execute things very well.

It was good, but I'm getting really tired of this basic simplicity. These types of games can be fun, but it's very limited for me personally. After a short time of realising how basic and empty the game is, I'm going to lose interest.
I can't understand how this doesn't apply for the majority, perhaps they enjoy it a lot at first and vote high, then soon quickly move on to something else?
This was even more basic than many of the other well-illustrated puzzle games that have been submitted recently, I think it's time to see authors push the boundaries now.

heh

Not sure it was a good idea to pick the james bond theme when the game involves shooting static targets. I'd generally associate 007 with real experience and missions.

Still, keep advancing, good luck :)

You may be wondering why this probably isn't going to get daily feature.
The issue here is because you've just launched the player into the content filled game, without gradually introducing them.
Yes, there's a tutorial, but most people arn't going to bother having to go play it, it's lame I know but it needs to be taken into consideration.
It's just not simply explained or introduced, it's a flash game so most people prefer to just launch into it. There are solutions to this problem, pick one.

Not bad

Well illustrated and enjoyable. As you said, it was rather unchallenging, unless you actually work as fast as you can which I began doing towards the end.
However, I don't think it's such a great idea to make that the only challenge, for example the "memory" game with the waves washing away the objects was simply too easy, even when working as fast as possible.
Thus, in that game you have 2 possible factors to measure IQ, the quantity of objects, and the timeing of the player.
The castle matching and first look games were fine, I found myself taking slightly longer each time as the timer progressed.

ffs guys lol, the score thing does not work properly, you can't seriously think you're hitting the high scores again and again.

The game isn't bad, but there's not much to it.
The song however, is awesome.

Wow...

That's an absolutely stunning attempt at a 3D flash engine, well done!
Ofcourse the controls were awful etc but I didn't care, I was far more interested in the engine than the game.
Optimization was brilliant, my PC is absolutely awful and yet I could run full graphics absolutely fine.
You could definately make this a winner if you make a proper game out of it, and get the scrolling right :P
This was definately NG flash-innovative.

Great visuals, but incredably unoriginal.
Main problem though is that it's so damn boring...
Try thinking up better concepts, no way does something like this deserve almost 4.0

This is a standard "defense" game so of course it's not entirely original... what is original about it is the environment/artwork. And as for boring... play a little longer, it gets a lot more intense... just gradually.

It's a joke that this got daily feature...
Nice effort put into it, except for the severe lack of content. It's incredably basic, and not in the good way, it's about as basic as playing with a child's toy.

My guess is most people voted 5 as soon as they realised you could run around burning people, closing the game 2 minutes later.

Well...

Had people voted after playing the game rather than seeing 'The Last Stand 2' and voting 5, I still think it would be high, but not this high...

Why? Because it's not much of an expand upon the first, if you were a games developer you might notice it a lot more. Infact using the first game, most people who know how to script could've made this within a fairly short amount of time.

Had you been a company, I would've labelled this a "cash-in".

It's the original formula unchanged, plus a few addons which put it under no risk. That's all very well, but I'd say it was undeserved to hit the top spots again. If you NG lets authors do this, it's going to result in a mess.

This is an expansion, not a sequel.
